an HK45 and a 1911 are quite different. to me the choice is easy as hell to take the HK45 but it's a totally different animal from a 1911. the 1911 is going to be much easier to shoot due to the heavier overall weight (probably 10+ oz) and shorter trigger pull. the DA -> SA transition on a lightweight polymer pistol like the HK45 is no easy thing. HK has that first double action pull which always kinda sucks no matter what. 1911s have that sweet sliding trigger which always breaks like glass.
